Butti Almheiri works as an analyst at the Office of Strategic Affairs in Abu Dhabi and a next-generation Climate Fellow under the UN Foundation.
He also serves as the President of the Arab Youth Council for Climate Change. Butti holds a Masters Degree in Climate Change, Management & Finance from Imperial College London, where he achieved distinction on his thesis, “The Contribution of Carbon Pricing to Decarbonise Future Economies”. He has applied his knowledge in practical settings, interning with Climax Community in London on a project to green UK SMEs.
Butti’s expertise was further recognized on international platforms, with his participation at the COP26, COP27, and SB58. Pepsico chose him as a judge for its MENA Greenhouse Accelerators Program, acknowledging his commitment to a sustainable future.
Also, he graduated from Queen Mary, University of London with first-class honours in BSc Sustainable Energy Engineering, achieving the Institute of Mechanical Engineering Award for best dissertation.
