António Pinho is a medical doctor committed to building more sustainable, equitable systems through health, education, and youth engagement. He is a member of the WHO Europe EVID-Action Youth Network Advisory Committee, where he supports youth-led work on the prevention of non-communicable diseases and alcohol-related harm. As part of the Youth4Health platform, he has spoken at high-level WHO Europe events, where he highlighted how financing a well-being economy requires investing in mental health, education, and youth participation — not just as a social good, but as a strategic foundation for the future.
Through his role in the Sustainaware Youth Technical Advisory Board, António contributes to educational tools on environmental health, digitalization, and climate resilience. He also founded a national Healthcare Management Congress in Portugal, connecting students and professionals around the future of health systems.
Currently, António is part of the “30 Below 30 to Get to 2030” Youth Engagement Platform at UNOPS, where he works with peers from around the world to analyze and elevate UNOPS’ work through a youth lens — with a special interest in the Mission Hubs on Just Digital Transformation and Quality Healthcare, reflecting his commitment to inclusive digital systems and equitable care as cornerstones of next-generation development.
With experience that spans youth governance, public health, and systems innovation, António brings a perspective to the SDGs that links the structural with the personal — and is committed to helping institutions listen, evolve, and lead with youth at the center.
