Selamawit Tezera (she/her) has completed her Bachelors and Masters degree in Economics, specializing in development economics at Addis Ababa University.

She is a Pan-African feminist researcher who grounds her work in intersectional feminist politics as the foundation for disrupting unequal power structures.For several years, she has engaged in this work at a national, regional, and international level at organizations such as African Feminism, FRIDA| the Young Feminist Fund, Internews, and others.

Her areas of interest and expertise have grown around policy advocacy, programming, and capacity building of grassroots political movements to transit to proper civic society organizations, digital activism, and digital security. Selamawit is currently leading sheEsecures as Chief Strategist.
