The ‘Youth-Focused R&D’ initiative proposes to train 1,000 young people to increase the supply of youth-led climate solutions across research and development.
This will be achieved by: developing a global support network, offering skill-building to guide young leaders towards the resources they need to succeed, and providing mentoring to these young leaders on how to develop financially sustainable climate initiatives.
Through creating a more supportive and financially viable pathway for young leaders engaging in climate innovation, the ambition is to increase the engagement, motivation, and retention of young people in the field.
